I remember Auntie Endra as always being beautiful, lively fun and full of heart. She was always the first to get up and dance at weddings, pulling us onto the dance floor. And if ever an Indian song came on—watch out! But most of all, I remember how she had a big heart. I remember talking to her on the phone One day and I could just feel her beaming when she spoke of her grandkids, the boys and their wives. She so very much loved her family and was so proud of all of them. Her heart was big...when my mom was starting to be affected by Alzheimer’s, she would meet us at the temple to help mom with the Hindu rituals. And when mom could no longer get out of bed and was agitated, she’d call her to sing Hindu prayer songs to her to calm her down. Our beautiful aunt was taken too soon...but my heart is lighter because she is no longer in any pain. Rest in peace Auntie. You are very much loved.
